I think I drop it at least once a week. Never dropped it outdoors (yet)

Once every 2-3 years maybe. Very rarely. I’ve never had a cracked screen (also not using any case or protectors).

Exactly this. I don’t understand the crack screen people but to each their own :p

Y’all are crazy. Very responsible. I drop my phone every single day. Often outside onto the concrete. I break my screen protectors all the time. I’ve only ever messed up an actual screen once (stupid like wrap around screen so the case was not sufficient). I buy extremely cheap cases and screen protectors, and they always work.

I’m clumsy, but also I guess thoughtless. I’m constantly bending over to pick up my kid and it just tumbles out of my pockets. Idk. The screen protectors last between one week and 6 months. Usually a couple of months, but then the cracks/chips are so little I just take ages to replace it, so I’m only buying one like twice a year. You can get 3 for under 10 bucks so it’s basically worth the cost to not have to be precious about your phone all the time.

I think I have dropped a phone either two or three times in the last fifteen years. But I still use a good case.

Daily, often numerous times a day. I like to juggle it when I walk, playing send me to heaven.

Almost four years now, no cracks.

maybe once a month if even.

only phone I’ve ever catastrophically broken by drop is a Galaxy S20; curved screen edges are bad for durability. glad most phone manufacturers have axed it now.

I have a benign tremor in both hands. I drop it several times a week. Sometimes just to the floor, sometimes, when I try to catch it and make things worse it’s catapulted through the room somehow.

Don’t know what nokia uses for their screens but I have this phone for the years now, no screen protector but a thin case and no cracks or dents.

Most phones within the past few years should be using Gorilla Glass 5, which is very drop-resistant.

The newer ones would be using Gorilla Glass Victus or Victus+ which is (supposedly) even tougher.

Smartphones are getting better and better, and the only downside is the lack of repairability.

I remember those early 2015-ish era phones where the screen was easily scratched. I love to see how far the tech has gotten.

A significant drop, maybe once every year or two. The first time I cracked the screen I resolved to always use those protective cover thingies, and they seem to work since I’ve never cracked the screen since.

I don’t understand why so many people are saying they drop them so frequently. These are expensive pieces of hardware and it’s not hard to hold them securely.

Idk maybe I watch too much LinusTechDropTips and it became contageous.

Or maybe its because I have anxiety and I cant hold objects still.
