I know rekabu.ru does because I was looking for Russian-language instances and found that, what else uses it??
If you like Photon, you might like Tesseract. It’s a Photon fork.
dubvee.org
tesh.itjust.works
tess.lemmy.ca
tes.leminal.space[Tesseract is] a Photon fork.
TIL that Tesseract is a Photon Fork. Would you know, by chance, at what point in Photon’s development it was forked to form Tesseract, and what the rationale was?
I think @ptz@dubvee.org might answer. If I’m not mistaking they are the main dev.
It was forked around a year or more back I believe. They are completely different projects now imo. Photon aims for the best UX and speed, while Tesseract aims to be super feature-rich.

You can access Photon at https://phtn.app/ to use any instance, or selfhost.
Additionally, some instances I’d recommend that use photon are
- lemdro.id (which uses it as their primary!)
- p.lemmy.world
- photon.slrpnk.net
I’m curious why your instance, sh.itjust.works, hosts Tesseract but not Photon. They have diverged so much they cannot be considered similar.
Oooo, thanks!
More should use Photon, I love your setup!

That comment from elsewhere in this thread explains you can use it on any instance.
Isn’t there a universal interface for photon on any instance? I tried using them at some point but neither is compatible with my networking practices. In only use Alexandrite.
You can go to https://phtn.app/ and proxy login to any Lemmy instance. But admins can also self-host Photon on their domain, like https://p.lemmy.world/.
We run the latest beta.7 on https://photon.slrpnk.net/
Just wanna stop and say open source is cool, neat to see what instances have what interfaces :)
You can log into any Lemmy instance from any Photon instance.
https://photon.lemmy.ca/ (among a number of frontends!)
Hi, feddit.nl does, they have multiple alternative frontends. Btw, you can just log into photon with any account.
the address is ph.feddit.nl
