Hey folks!
I’m back to the world of RSS feeds over automated feeds, and I’m looking for personal blogs that are still online and worth reading. By personal I don’t necessarily mean we should limit the list to only single person blogs, though those are preferred, but basically no websites with SEO articles. Content should be valuable by itself, not because it optimized 31 keywords with a KD<20 on Ahrefs and includes a link to ExpressVPN.
Thanks!
Somewhat curated list of blogs I’m subscribed to. Some of them may be dormant. I don’t bother removing in case they come back to life. Good luck!

Last Week In Collapse is a weekly substack blog keeping track of the world ending.
I read Boing Boing: https://boingboing.net/
It is a well established blog that covers topics like technology, policits, and culture. I like it.
I like this one: https://fireborn.mataroa.blog/rss/
It’s a blind guy writing about accesibilty in OSS software. It’s very interesting and well written.
I write a tech and radio blog, if that’s your schtick. If not, no worries. Post your rss feed when you’re done!
Not personal, but I have 100% personified the mars rovers…

I quite enjoy this blog: The Luddite, an anticapitalist blog by a guy/gal who does IT. Owner doesn’t post frequently but it’s always a good read whenever a new text is up
https://obscurebattles.blogspot.com/ - detailed descriptions of historical battles. @PugJesus@lemmy.world you might find that interesting. The guy does it for miniatures wargaming, but he’s former Navy Intel and he seems to know how to put together a brief.
computers are bad by jb crawford. long form posts but full of really insightful information on a variety of tech & tech-adjacent topics! i went down the rabbit hole after reading a really interesting post about air traffic control & its history.
Projectgus.com He doesn’t update very often, but it’s quite interesting when he does.
This shows up as fiddlrts.removed on my Lemmy instance. Does the top level domain coincidentally include a slur? :p
if you are interested in subscribing to blogs from Blogspot, on Fediverse, you could do that by adding /feeds/posts/default at the end, on Friendica
Thanks!
It should be blogspot dot com. It’s being removed likely as part of a spam filter.
Thank you!
Blogspot
Tyvm!
I don’t think Lemmy can do that
My instance does replace slurs with ‘removed’ though
then I sit corrected.
