3 days agoBest thing you can do in that case would be to try to strip out as much data collection from their driver as possible (or use Linux with the as of now, not-that-great-but-getting-better open source Nvidia drivers if you have a 2xxx series or up). As for the hardware, they aren’t making any more money from that one time purchase.
End to end encrypted doesn’t mean they don’t potentially store a copy of the keys somewhere. With proprietary software, you never know what it’s actually doing since you can’t verify the code does what it says on the tin.
