We would go to Folk’s or TGIF or O’charlys or a local tavern, as long as you weren’t ordering beer or steaks, it was do able.

This makes me sad. About 15 years ago we could go out as a family of 4 to a nice-ish restaurant for just entrees for just under $50 before tip.
Remaking a movie or retelling a story or changing a political event or casting an unbelievable caste just because it fits today’s politically correct views.
This thing happened so stop pretending it didn’t or your historical piece is now fantasy or now it’s completely unbelievable.
Stop remaking movies and changing the tone or message. Here’s a novel idea for you film makers, you can make a new movie with a similar plot but with a different name, now we won’t be going in with raised expectations.

8·9 days agoTake the time to do it right the first time but also don’t waste time if it doesn’t add value.
Having a process is great but if the process exceeds the value then the process not only harms profit margins but also erodes morale. If the reason a process exists is to counter bad behavior then it’s an employee problem not a process problem.
Open office floorplans are a terrible idea!
Work from home shouldn’t be considered a given based on the job tasks but a privilege and benefit extended to those employees that have shown the discipline and reliability to work from home. But the in office requirement shouldn’t be forced on everyone just to satisfy a “butts in seat policy” or a managers insecurity.

8·9 days agoThe issue that I take with AI is that it’s having a similar effect on ignorance that the Internet created but worse. It’s information without understanding. Imagine a highschool drop out that is a self proclaimed genius and a Google wizard, that is AI, at least at the moment.
Since people imagine AI as the super intelligence from movies they believe that it’s some kind of supreme being. It’s really not. It’s good at a few things and you should still take it’s answers with skepticism and proof read it before copy/paste it’s results into something.

Short answer is nope.
If you mean for political reasons, no, because unless Trump succeeded in creating dynasty that many people are talking about then there is hope that someone will step in and force the government back in the right direction. So this will be a temporary setback.
Now when I mean set it back in the right direction I don’t mean back to the far left either, I mean I hope for a reasonable rational leader willing to work to a better future for all Americans. Both sides have lost what it means to work for all Americans as the president of the USA and not just their party extremists.
As an average low middle class American, life isn’t terrible but economic insecurity and living costs are becoming a major issue that is directly connected to Trump. Cost is up 30% in the last year, privacy is under attack again, consumer protections are being stripped away, environmental protections are being removed, general infrastructure investments are being defunded, public relief and assistance being removed, AI is out of control, and there are fewer jobs being created. While Trump lies and tries to cover it up, he is actually firing people in the government or refusing to release negative data to the public in an effort to cover it up. He is actively silencing people which goes against a core American belief that this country was founded on.
