I’m definitely not saying anything else was wrong. Just seeing that one specific letter floating around. It’s 100% likely that the CIA has something to do with it, as it’s definitely in their playbook, but that letter isn’t the smoking gun people say it is.

Hungary Freedom Fighters Federated Inc isn’t the same thing as Hungary Freedom fighters. The inc was established after they escaped to the USA. It doesn’t prove that they had ties before or during the revolution.
Thanks for clarifying. Did a little googling.
Hungarian Freedom Fighters Federated INC isn’t the same thing as Hungarian Freedom Fighters. It seems like they’re discussing relations after the revolution. Doesn’t prove they weren’t CIA sponsored revolutionaries, but the best this proves is after escaping to the US they became associated with the CIA.
This is a memo about Cuba isn’t it?
its_kim_love@lemmy.blahaj.zoneto Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•Do you have a strong opinion on the death penalty?5·2 days agoIn a just society it will always cost more to execute a person than it would cost to imprison them for life. If that’s always going to be the case in a just society you may as well imprison them for life. The outcome is the same.
The reason execution should always cost more is because you have to be absolutely sure to the best of our abilities that the person is guilty. Until we come up with a fool proof way to determine guilt we will always run the risk of executing the wrong person for a crime.
Those games are a trip! Love all the FMV stuff they did.
I got cyberpunk 2077 for the summer sale and I’m absolutely loving it. Put nearly 200 hours into the game in the first month or so. Only just now getting into mods. Despite its poor launch the dlc definitely makes up for it.
No claim, just a lot of defensiveness.
