Though I have lost some things I valued ( not up for that story right now) what I do still have is a photo of myself autographed by Mark Shuttleworth (of Ubuntu fame). It was from when I met him while he was touring after his adventure on the ISS. Reminds me of better times.

How much would it costs to send all of the world’s politicians to the titanic using ocean gate subs? Just suggesting they discuss their disagreements down there.

Not likely for long time , but could be a sleeper in case things go sideways down the line. We are not likely to be making them at home as other commentators suggest… im expecting it to give arm a run for its money if politics gets really bad. The global south will likely make good use of it in that case. Also who knows. Linux was in this position a while.ago and that was an awesome surprise.
