Yeah I grew up without a kettle and just lived with shitty badly heated water. Got myself a kettle after moving out and improved my tea experience greatly.
I got my parents a kettle though because my mom, especially, drinks about 10 cups of hot water a day, but she hates the kettle and won’t use it. I do not understand.
Microwave can take 2-3 minutes depending on how hot you like it and how shitty your microwave is. They also tend to not heat evenly.
A good kettle might also take about 3 mins, though some can take up to 5 or 6, but you’re guaranteed properly heated water.
I’m embarrassed that I’ve never even thought of attempting this… Do all microwaves have that option?
I used it on w10 for the snipping tool and it still works on w11.

In all seriousness, I’m not sure about your field specifically but most companies will have a ‘career’ section on their website. You can usually browse jobs/apply through there.
There are also job opportunity aggregators like Indeed, Monster (is monster still a thing?), probably other alternatives in your country.
Your school/teachers might also be able to help you network and get in contact with companies, especially if you make a good impression.

I have a bidet with toilet paper to dry off/for guests/for various other uses for toilet paper.
Not near a window and the dust is thicker and primarily builds up below the toilet paper roll and on the holder. It’s not the same as regular dust build up. I mitigate by placing the bin under the roll but it still gets everywhere.
It’s hard to get a picture but this is the thicker dust on my toilet brush, which sits just next to the bin/toilet.

Do you think that the first immigrants (settlers) to come here from England and France should also not have been allowed to decide on how the country was run? Or is it only new immigrants that shouldn’t be allowed a voice in government? What’s the cutoff?
I think the majority of people who spend most of their days bringing joy (comedians) tend to have dark background. Doesn’t surprise me that clowns would equally have some awful shit that pushed them to see the bright side of life more clearly.

The actual basis for the “hierarchy” of needs is essentially that a community takes care of each other so that all needs are met, and this is found not just in Blackfoot but along the majority of indigenous cultures. (I write in quotes because it was never really a hierarchy, it was more of a cyclical chain of getting needs met)
There’s a really good read on what inspired the Hierarchy of Needs here. Most of the changes that Maslow made to his findings were actually due to him wanting to make it more palatable for his individualistic colonial audience.
I’m Canadian. I don’t mind accepting American refugees as long as we also learn to accept refugees from other countries and value them all equally, but our current government isn’t doing that.
Why would you assume that every single (non American) immigrant that comes here would want to change the way Canada is run? Considering the vast majority come here because they like the way it’s run. This is such a wild take.
Besides, the politics of this country were built on genocide and do not reflect the values of the land’s original caretakers that were here for tens of thousands of years. I waste my time on a website I found years ago on r/beermoney that pays pennies for installing and playing shitty games. Most of them are the garbage match 3 or dominoes or whatever. I figured out most of them still pay out even with my ad blocker on so I just dissociate with that instead of doom scrolling sometimes.
It’s not the greatest thing ever and I know it’s bad for privacy and capitalism and for many other reasons, but I’ve made like $600 on it in the last 3 years so that’s been cool.
I was thinking if it’s just a ballot that has a number but it’s not attached to your name. I.e. if the person handing out the ballots gives you a random one and you’re the only one who knows your own number. I’ve never used electric voting machines but maybe a randomly generated number that you can know but nobody else would know?
