  • Lots of half-truths here.

1: the first thing every cop says at a stop is “turn the engine off and put your key on the dash” if you haven’t done that by the time he gets to your window

2: if you’re pulled over, it’s already too late to run. Cruisers have had dash cams for decades and your tag has already been photographed.

3: improper use of “statistically” but the best autos are quicker than sticks. That’s why squad cars use them and theyre probably better than yours

4: you can probably talk yourself out of a ticket for speeding, GL talking yourself out of an evading charge.

Tl;dr cops suck. Nobody likes them. You can (and should) fight them in the courts and the voting booth, but you will lose if you try to do it on the road.

  • Asian countires have invested billions of dollars in the education/training/and infrastructure to support animated films do make them as efficiently as possible. Economies of scale, lower labor costs, etc., etc.

Conversely, American film production for the last ~30 years has been nothing more than a way to circulate a few billion dollars between a handful of studios/executives with no real concern for efficiency. Not saying that Asian animation studios are without controversy (they are), but budgets just have not recently been a concern for American studios like they are for foreign productions.

  • The prerequisite for joining such hyperindividualistic ideologies is the belief that you’re better/more important than others, that the work of others can’t be depended on (“if you want it done right, you’ve got to to it yourself” fallacy mindset).

    So:

Why do people continue to adopt this seemingly futile approach? It’s akin to watching 5,000 parachutists attempt a failed jump from the Eiffel Tower, only for newcomers to keep trying despite knowing, or perhaps ignoring, the inevitable outcome. Despite the growing pile of mangled bodies at the base of the tower, every day people decide to climb up and try for themselves.

“Well duh, those people failed because they weren’t me!
