It feels kinda like you’re objectifying them. Really depends who you use it with though, like all words.

Yeah, sure, Kenny McCormick.
FerretyFever0@fedia.ioto No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•What's the best way to respond to someone who says "transracial is just as valid as transgender"? (Transracial referring to people who identify as another race like Rachel Dolezal)1·6 days agoIf one was assumed to be white, then they could either make the choice to correct them, or not. Dolezal is fucking ridiculous, and definitely just trying to sow discord and violence, especially towards transgender people.
A lot of old people have beliefs from a very… different time. Y’all know what I mean. They bear a lot of blame for the way things are in general. I’m seeing a lot of people jump to conclusions about you for some reason. If it’s mostly old people, then you’re probably right. I honestly don’t fw most old people I know. A lot of them are grump old fucks, some with better reasons than others.

Many people from the Middle East and North Africa see themselves as white. A lot of white Americans and Europeans disagree. I would say that being perceived as a member of an in group is more important than actual color. For example, some lighter skinned African-Americans were able to be perceived as white, thus being treated significantly better. Were they black? Of course they were. They made a conscious decision to pick which experiences and culture they wanted. But they definitely had experiences where they didn’t pass, and had experiences according to their given race.
There’s a LOT of things. Those are mostly shallow and me being a bad person though. I really judge people when they have super Christian clothing with tiny pieces of random supposedly important Bible verses. Those “don’t tread on me” stickers. Really tacky shit in general. I wear a really obnoxious Goku/Vegeta hoodie sometimes, to make sure that the shallowest people will avoid me. I’m a hypocrite lol
