My style hasn’t changed since I was maybe around ten. I’m well into adulthood now and wondering if I fit into any subculture since I have some American friends who are around my age and they know theirs and typically hang out with people of their subculture, so I feel like an odd one out here. I’m deeply into drawing weird art, like colourful monsters that are Mario inspired. I’m also into emulation, tattoo design, and making mods for games. I’m a tomboy and never wear makeup. Fashion, my wardrobe consists of tracksuits and trainers, sometimes a cap or fabric coats with a plaid pattern on them. I’ll dress like this no matter where I am or what I’m doing. I’ll sometimes wear gold jewellery like bracelets. I don’t do anything with my hair besides keep it neck length and curly. I’m a big fan of music and that consists of UK garage, deep house and DnB. I’d love to go to music festivals and just go wild. I’ve been non conformist/rebellious since I was tiny

edit: am a woman for context lol

      sorry missread that.

but yeah … one of the most embarassing thought i ever had was, “i wanna be a goth”. at a point at which i was already pretty much integrated in my local community of sorrows. i wanted to match my cool new friends. for the wrong reason.

i am embarassed of this bc at the time i thought it would be important to belong to group and be good at that. i was a little in love with the clichees.

do what you genuinly like and find people who you can share with. that’s all there is about subcultures. the rest follows. people who hang out a lot tend to converge in style and habit.
