It is easier than you think. There are libraries that do Firewall/NAT traversal automatically so the hard part would be making the UI
Jitsi is closer to Zoom than anything else

It doesn’t impact the “Linux native” people but for those starting out on Windows it is a problem.
It isn’t that hard. All I’m looking for is a chat/video call service. Jitsi is close but it purely does video calling. I want something that is a chat where guests can join a group with a link. That shouldn’t take much. (It didn’t with Nextcloud)
It is less user friendly but theoretically more powerful and secure
The learning curve can be steep but if you have ever worked with config files it isn’t bad.

The idea is that your device has tons of temporary IP addresses that can be used for various tasks like surfing the web.
Learn Podman since Docker has some licensing restrictions in some cases.
Why wouldn’t you just use Docker or Podman
Manually installing stuff is actually harder in a lot of cases
Jami is a stability and security nightmare
