The thing is, you need to make proper PDFs with properly structured content with proper metadata for screen readers to be able to access the content in the PDF in a logical and sane way. This is what the OP is tasked to do, and why they are looking for help. So I’m not sure what you mean by “try just using screen readers.”

I’m dealing with this right now too.
My advise is to ditch the PDFs where possible, and go with HTML documents. They are far easier to make accessible. The down side is you can’t easily pass them around in a self contained way that isn’t a bit wonky compared to a PDF or DOCX. But if you just link to them in a course, or otherwise expect students to just access them in a browser, HTML pages can work well.
PDFs have always been a nightmare, and the new accessibility rules are making thousands of people in education finally realize that.

1·2 months agoThis looks like bad scaling actually. This is something that might end up being variable between different android versions and screen resolutions. This is why others on android see theirs as looking fine. And it lines up with the artifacts you are seeing. The artifacts look like blocky scaling of anti-aliased alpha channels to me. This is why some of the emoji appear to have slightly pointed heads. And this is why single yellow pixels appear in the corners of some.
There is poor scaling going on, and or screen resolution/pixel density is dictating a bad scaling factor producing artifacts.

52·2 months agoSome people get really judgmental about credit cards. Either about not using them, or about using them wrong.
This poster clearly explained how they were maintaining a healthy relationship with one, and you came in to argue with people about how they are “doing it wrong” and shouldn’t be part of the people using credit cards.
Did you know that credit card rewards disproportionately punish the poor? The rewards come out of the credit card terminal fees. And stores increase their prices appropriately to cover credit card fees. If you insist on someone not using credit cards when they are managing it fine, you may be suggesting that they be forced to pay more for their purchases.

I finally had a definition stick when I heard Dan Harmon yell that Trump is a fascist on his old podcast. Back during the first term. In 2017 IIRC.
